It is confirmed: blondes do have more fun and I am here to prove it to you.
Have you ever heard of the phrase blondes have more fun? Likely you have and that's because the statement is true.
According to the Cambridge Dictionary found here, the original statement was coined expressing the idea that blondes could be deemed as more attractive by men thus granting more attention and having more fun.
However, although I do agree that blondes do have more fun, this is not because of a desire to be seen by men, after all, we are living in a woman's world, aren't we?
Blondes have more fun for so many reasons and it's beyond anything another person's validation could bring to us.
With a new season upon us, autumn, a time for changing leaves, and clothes, more layered styles, and warmth, usually brown hair, or darker hair colors may be desired, however, why would we get rid of the blonde hair we love so much just because most people tend to gravitate towards darker hues as the leaves fall.
As someone who is fully passionate about adapting all aspects of my life to new seasons: pumpkin spice everything PLEASE, new house decorations, nails, and new clothes, I love to curate and change, keeping things light, fresh, and exciting for new times, and embrace all the holidays and sweet times, new seasons encapsulate - with this, not changing my hair for these new months was surprising to me.
For the first time since high school, I will not be changing my hair for pumpkin season! WHAT?! Crazy I know! Everything will be warming up except for my hair! The reason why you may ask? Well, because ever since going blonde I have found that blondes do have more fun, and while my cinnamon candle may still be burning my hair will remain sun-kissed and bright.
Being a natural brunette, my hair grows in a chocolate brown at the roots. I have highlighted my hair for years, but never did more color than what could be deemed as natural..lol imagine natural if only you saw all the tin foil in my hair.
However, by the end of my junior year of college (last spring) I was ready for a change, approaching summer, and my senior year I thought it would be fun to incorporate something new.
Last April, I did a full head of highlights and in came this golden bronde hair color, I was obsessed with as seen here:

This golden color brought me through the entire summer of fun, and summer vibes, and I loved it. But, it was still not quite blonde. Blonde like Barbie or the main characters in the famous movie classic, Mean Girls. So after a summer at the beach and upon my move into senior year, I went back to the salon asking to be blonde, blonde, blonde.
No more chocolate brown, golden, or brassy, I wanted to be blonde! After more foils, toners, and a fresh cut and style: I had achieved it: my hair was true blonde.
And I have never loved it more or felt more myself than with this shade.

After being blonde for almost three months now, I can honestly say I have never looked back and could not be happier with the color! Being blonde has made me feel more me than ever, and I never thought I would be my happiest with this hair color!
Don't get me wrong, brown hair is beautiful, and I have always had a soft spot for my natural tones, that match my eyes so well, it just felt good to find something new, and fresh, I had been brunette for the last 20 years! Plus, I know it will continue to grow in that color, and I can always go back to brown.
Granted too, at the end of the day, it's just hair, more specifically a hair color, all in all not something that important but, based on confidence, and joy, I love this color! I feel lighter, it's easier for me to maintain, I love the way it sits with my outfits, and how it matches my face coloring and shape, and most of all I love the change, after having the same hair color for so long to do a transformation like such, just felt and continues to feel so great.
As a result of a newfound lightness, creativity, and fun, as well as the adventures, and new opportunities that have been brought to me with this hair color, I can confidently say that blondes do have more fun and I think everyone should try something new with their hair.
After all, change is good, and like I said it's just hair you could change it right back if it's not feeling right, but regardless when changing hair you may find lightness, and a sense of pride for trying something new and seeing yourself composing a new look.
Trying a new hairstyle allows us to see beyond the same visions we are used to and understand ourselves from a new lens or perspective, and can increase confidence, embrace creativity, and unwrap another style within ourselves we may not have previously known to exist.
If you are looking to change your hair, I may be biased towards the blonde, and the products that have helped me the most with maintaining, keeping, and honoring this style are found here, here, and here.
For tools I have curated a master list of items for blondes, hoping for the least damage, and best style possible. My favorite tools include these: wet brush, straightener, curler, combs, and thermal heat brush.
Regardless of my newfound love for light whether it be: blonde, brown, red, black, pink, any color is gorgeous, as long as YOU feel good about it, so I am here to validate that no matter the season as long as you feel yourself and you feel confident, it's time to test the waters with different hair colors, and styles, a little change goes a long way, time to go dye!
Xoxxo,
Michela
